Culinary art on the island of Korcula

The traditional dishes usually include fish, local meat and home-grown vegetables. The delicious olive oil pressed on the island and the wonderful local wine should not be missed on your menu.

 

Typical Dalmatian specialties:

Pašticada – a Dalmatian meat specialty of beef in rosemary-red wine sauce, usually served with gnocchi

Dalmatinski Pršut – smoked ham made in the old Dalmatian way ,dried by the winter winds which gives it a distinct flavour. This ham is similar to the Italian Prosciutto but it is really not comparable with it.
