The name of Korcula is derived from the ancient Greek KORKYRA MELAINA and means black forest, because Korcula is one of the greenest islands in Croatia.

 

The island in its diversity offers a lot of attractions for everyone, you will find everything here. From the Venetian architecture of Korcula town, the vineyards and olive groves between Cara and Smokvica to barely inhabited, slumbering fishing villages in quiet bays like Babina, to Boogie Jungle a night club for the young at heart near Korcula town.
